Responsibilities and Requirements : The eligible candidate will be working and interfacing with numerous engineering teams supporting the Strategic Programs is an international leader in developing and delivering advanced aerospace and defense systems for military and commercial customers in the U.S. and around the world. This position is located in Kings Bay, GA with the possibility of a future transfer to Silver Springs, MD. Specific tasks may include: -Serve as the onsite point of contact for coordination of all SSP installation and test activities. -Coordinate test related efforts among SSP Contractor representatives, Ship?s Force, Navel Submarine Support Center, Commander, Submarine Squadron, and supporting activities. -Review technical documentation for impacts to strategic and attack weapon system interfaces. -Use of standard engineering practices to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements. -Ensure that all SSP tests are completed and that necessary data is collected and distributed as required by the test procedure. -Keep SSP, the SSBN and SSGN Managers advised of potential problems with Strategic Weapon System equipment, scheduling and testing. Must Have: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Service on SSBN and/or SSGN submarine platforms with comprehensive Trident Strategic Weapon System and/or Attack Weapon System experience. Eligibility for a DoD Secret security clearance Problem solving ability Ability and willingness to travel Excellent presentation (oral and written) skills Proven ability to work independently and in team environments Must be a Self-starter! Prefer to Have: Extensive TRIDENT Strategic Weapon System experience Operational and project/program management experience Active High-level Security clearance SSP organizational knowledge or experience. Submarine maintenance and repair experience.
