Job Title: OT Weekend Call coverage
Unit: Outpatient Clinic
Unit Description: Looking for an Occupational Therapist for weekend Call coverage. OT would know by 10am each day if they would need to go into the clinic that day for evaluations. If a request for an evaluation is not made by 10am, the therapist is free to enjoy the day. This is true for Saturday and Sunday. If called in, the OT could do 1-6 evals 30-45 min per eval. They are typically complete by noon or 1 - depending on drive distance (about 1 hr from Grand Rapids or Muskegon) Sorry, a COTA cannot be considered for this on-call opportunity. New Rural outpatient clinic. Variety of ages and diagnosis. However, our clientele is typically older. Also, 3 years of United States experience preferred. When fully staffed our clinic has two teams, each of which has a PT, PTA and tech. The clinic also has a full time OT and ST. Co-treating does occur with our neuro patients with PT, OT and ST. Our community is surrounded by opportunities for outdoor recreation (hiking, kayaking….) We are about 45 minutes from Grand Rapids which offers a array of restaurants, shopping and cultural activities. We are about 45 minutes east of Lake Michigan and coast line beach towns. We are approximately 2 miles away from our 80 bed hospital. There is a potential to assist in acute care coverage. Some acute care experience would be beneficial but not as high a priority as outpatient skills. Overall, we are an AWESOME place to work.
