Stanfield Systems is actively seeking highly qualified candidates for a new full-time position as Software Manager with our company.

This position requires a mature, confident, personable manager who possesses outstanding client and business relationship skills. Strong current software development skills supported by at least one degree in computer science or software engineering are essential. Please note that we're looking for a senior developer who can also manage -- not a project manager with some technical background.

Prior US military leadership experience would be a plus.


LOCATION: Folsom, California. Local residence required.

TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required

DEGREE: Degree in Computer Science or closely related field. Masters degree or higher preferred.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND UNLESS YOU MEET THESE:

- Must be eligible for and willing to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Note that US citizenship is required for this clearance


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Several years experience leading teams of developers on projects of at least $500,000
Several years experience managing developer teams on projects of 6 months duration or longer
Strong IT Project Management experience
Strong client relations skills, leadership and business development
Experience performing multiple software process activities such as
- Requirements
- Design
- Implementation
- Testing
- Quality Assurance
Hands-on software development experience within the past 5 years
Willingness to participate in coding efforts as needed
Visualization and knowledge management
Process improvement, process implementation, and process management:
- CMMI
- Agile methodologies
- Other
Software architecture and design:
- Service Oriented Architecture
- Web technologies
- UML
- Other
Software Development, programming languages:
- C# .Net
- C++
- Java
- PHP
- SQL
- Other
Software Development, integrated development environments:
- Eclipse
- Visual Studio
Experience on SBIR or related research projects preferred
