Responsibilities: The Engine Lab technician should have an automotive background, be able to communicate well with others, be self-motivated, flexible, capable of heavy lifting, and have knowledge of computers. The Engine Lab technician is required to monitor, setup, and control engine tests in accordance with ASTM procedures working in environments containing hot surfaces and rotating machinery. Specific job assignments include operation of analytical equipment, instrument calibration, fork lift driving, and confined space entry. Lab technician will also provide assistance in other areas as needed, such as general lab maintenance and fleet testing. .
