Responsibilities: The Product Manager has specific responsibility to: Perform detaild competitive analysis Predict the demand for products and services offered by the company and its competitors Identify potential marketsfor example, channels, market segments, product segments, etc. Lead the strategic planning and tactical execution of programs to support the building product lines including the preparation of annual business plans for each respective product line and business segment Maintain the product matrices for the assigned product lines and those of competitors Work with the communications team to develop marketing communications plans to support assigned product lines including collateral, merchandising, promotions, advertising, public relations, etc. Work closely with the New Product Development teams and regulatory affairs to stay abreast of changing codes Work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing, finance, etc., to ensure objectives are met Maintain open lines of communication with Sales to assist in the capture of competitive information, customer challenges, and pricing issues, etc. Team with Sales to gain a close relationship with key customers and gain new customers Oversee all Internet, extra-net and Intranet activities relative to their product lines and ensure the information is updated on a regular basis Review and provide analysis on accessories and options regarding pricing, refinements, profitability within designated brands Maintain and update the competitive research library Monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services, and works with Product Development to execute new products and enhancements Follow every aspect of the Stage Gate Process Work with the Director of Marketing Communications on promotions to support new product introductions or product line extensions..
