Responsibilities: Actively participates in the daily operations under the direction of supervisor. Responsible for unloading bundles of newspapers from delivery trucks, verifying receipt of complete paper draw, and distributing proper allocation of copies to each independent contractor. Use and maintenance of pallet jack, pallet walker, recharger, strapping machine and other equipment. Assisting drivers in off-loading arriving tractor trailers, storing materials, reloading trucks within established deadlines. Deliver open geographic territories and show geographic territories to new independent contract carriers. Deliver replacement copies at the customers request. Learn layout of all geographic territories serviced from the distribution center and periodically audit routes for efficiency. On occasion, may assist in maintaining a daily record of: contracted geographic territories serviced, truck and contracted carrier arrival times, systems problems and answers to customer complaints. .
