Responsibilities : QinetiQ North America is seeking a Software Engineer with at least 10 years development experience. Successful candidate will be involved in developing enterprise solutions as part of a large software development team. Candidate will work closely with software engineers and other QC members to successfully test and assess ongoing development within demanding schedules.Candidates will participate in various phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, specification generation, application design and software coding. The candidate will also participate and lead the design and development of services and business processes.

Requirements :BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or related disciplineProblem-solving, goal-oriented, willing to learn, with good coding skill and engineering intuition.Positive attitude toward work and other people, team player.Excellent verbal and written communication ability.Candidate must successfully pass a government background investigation. (Previous background investigation (NAC) or clearance is a plus)Excellent applied understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and related tools, frameworks, and technologiesWorking knowledge of the WebSphere SOA stack is a mustStrong presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences Systems integration experience is a mustA solid understanding of business process engineering principles and toolsets is a must8 years experience with developing SOA based solutionsStrong understanding of Enterprise software development architectures, patterns and best practices.8 years experience with UML.8 years experience with J2EE frameworks and full life cycle N-tier software development from conceptual design to implementation including the following technologies:Practical understanding of general persistence technologies including EJB or ORM technologies.Experience with one or more industry standard Java IDEs - Eclipse, IBM Rational Software Architect, WebSphere Application Developer, Borland JBuilder, JDeveloper.Strong understanding of relational database architecture.
