Responsibilities : Biologist (Part-Time) Location: Cambridge, MA 6 Month Contract Will consider one who is currently in school but must meet/exceed all requirements. No animal or plasma handling required. Supervision will be from the scientist. Initial 6 month assignment which may be extended. Cell culture technician 20 hour/week, primarily on weekends. Will be supervised on weekends until comfortable with duties. Job details Responsible for weekend cell culture of both adherent and non-adherent mammalian cells. Job duties include: Cell growth media preparation. Cell media changing. Limited documentation (Essentially, there will be some pre-printed templates and the individual will just have to fill in some basic information on how and when something was done (date, amount added, etc)). Care and feeding of the animal cell culture.

Requirements : 1 year mammalian cell culture experience. 2) Familiarity with sterile technique. 3) Experience in group lab environment. 4) Responsible, detailed oriented, and able to follow precise directions.
