Responsibilities : The world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books and a leader in educational technology and children's media, is currently seeking a: BI ManagerWork with the business to identify strategic analyses that can be satisfied with data and tools.Ensure that BI activities align with the priorities set by the Steering Committee.Engage Business Users throughout the effort to gain their participation and buy-in to the solutions being developed - facilitate the partnership between IT and business teams.Ensure that a detailed project plan is created and tightly managed for all projects.Manage projects to budget, schedule and quality commitmentsEnsure that quality standards are met and compliance is achievedLead team through the project lifecycle including definition of business requirements, functional design, techncial design, build/configure solutions, testing, training & implementation of BI solutionsSupport the change and release management processes in the protection of the operational environmentEnsure that regular communication and training takes place for all new projects and enhancements that are deliveredCoordinate and run regular meetings with IT and Business Management with effective communication of plans, risks, and statusCoordinate interaction and planning with other groups in IT that will be involved in delivery of projectsEvaluate and implement new Business Intelligence technologiesEstablish and document Data Mart standards for design and infrastructureAssist developers and end users in the use of Data Mart data and Business Intelligence toolsManage the day to day activities of BI Analysts and BI Architects.
