Responsibilities and Requirements : SQL Server Database Architect/Senior Database Administrator Nanuet, NY Contract The Sr. Data Base Administrator is responsible for providing technical support for the database environment including overseeing the development and organization of the databases, assessment and implementation of new technologies, and providing Information Technology with a long-term perspective on the relationship of database technology to the business opportunities facing the company. Develop, organize, manage, implement & provide security for SQL Server databases; Develop architecture, applications & production operational supporting; Develop and maintain Enterprise level unattended installations & software patching; Develop Enterprise wide dbase standards & policies; Formulate strategies for Backup, Recovery and Data Protection; Design reporting & query tools & practices to assist management using SQL Programs such as Stored Procedures & Triggers; Develop & maintain SharePoint & messaging applications; Develop a methodology for the ongoing assessment of dbase performance & the identification of problem areas; Root cause analysis for performance issues & server or code optimizations; Deployment & administration of SSIS Packages & SSRS reports; Develop a security strategy for the dbase environment, as well as assisting in disaster recovery procedures & drills; Setting up scalable & high-available solutions such as Clustering, Database Mirroring and Log Shipping. Train & develop technical support for applications staff.
