Responsibilities : OverviewThe successful person will be responsible for maintaining a physical security presence on the sales floor, interacting with customers to ensure a safe and pleasant shopping experience and serving as a visual deterrent to shoplifting, robbery and dishonest employee activity. In addition, this individual will be responsible for shoplifting apprehensions per company policy, responding to all emergency situations and monitoring daily activity on Sales Floor to ensure policies and procedures are maintained. The Security Officer will also assist management and merchandising with secure transport of jewelry, as well as, assist in ensuring the safety of all employees during store opening and closing. In addition to security related responsibilities, this individual will also need to be cross-trained to assist with customer service, merchandising, administrative and any other sales support related functions

Requirements :This position requires the flexibility to works days, nights, weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the business. This position will be 4 days per week on a rotating schedule. In addition, this position requires a High School Diploma and a valid NYS Security Guard License, the ability to communicate with customers and employees and basic computer skills. Experience in a retail/security environment, 1 year prior experience in a security related position and experience in military/law enforcement are preferred.
