Responsibilities and Requirements : This exciting initiative will allow our providers and staff to better serve our patients because they will have better access to their patient medical history and information. The Electronic Medical Records system that we will be using is called . We are seeking a dedicated team of support staff to assist with this project. The Trainers will provide on-site instruction, oversight, and assistance to the practices during the chart prep, extraction, abstraction, and scanning phase of the conversion project. Once each practice has prepared their charts, and is ready to go live on , the Trainers will provide go live support on all System procedures. The PennCare Network has approximately 50 practice locations throughout Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties in Pennsylvania; as well as Camden, Gloucester, and Burlington counties in South Jersey. This position will require travel to the 30 different PENNCare practice locations that are converting to over the course of 17 months. The Trainers will move from practice to practice, assisting with preparing the records for the conversion, and eventually training the providers and staff on the new tool. The Trainers will spend a few weeks working in each practice before moving on to the next location. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, as well as excellent verbal and organizational skills. Candidates must be able to effectively communicate with practice staff and physicians to ensure that they understand the new tool. Candidates must have proficient computer skills, as well as the ability to learn new computer programs. Previous exposure to medical terminology is preferred. Prior exposure to IDX and is a plus. Previous experience with any type of teaching/training/instructing is a plus. Candidates must have a valid driver license, as well as reliable transportation.
