Responsibilities : Manage a department consisting of over 100 diverse hourly and salaried employees including supervisors, engineers and planners. - Ensure safety goals are met and/or exceeded. -Provide clear expectations, training and support to department. -Maintain a high level of accountability to self and department to achieve on time, on budget, and high quality work. -Oversee the annual budget. -Ensure manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction through optimum utilization of resources and on-going evaluation and improvement of methods and systems. - Direct work priorities and time-lines and allocate resources to assure overall goals and time-lines are met. -Develop direct reports, coach, mentor and handle performance reviews. -Ensure compliance with all Covidien and Federal safety requirements for the production area and personnel. -Partner with quality leadership to ensure good quality and practices and their implementation in manufacturing. -Ensure that the manufacturing organization fulfils and procedural requirements. -Prepare and review department budgets and lead cost and efficiency improvement efforts with production as well as across the site as appropriate.

Requirements :- BS in engineering or related discupline. Masters degree preferred. - of 8 years of direct supervisory/management experience in GMP medical manufacturing environment experience required. -Proven leadership and management experience in a world-class medical manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills: -Analytical and problem solving skills. -Supervisory skills. -Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. -Technical writing ability. -Conflict resolution skills. -Strong team building skills and a desire to develop others through coaching and facilitiation. -Ability to drive cost reduction while continuously improving performance and change.
