Responsibilities : Provide general assistance for Alternative Executive including, but not limited to, answering phones, rolling calls, database entry, filing, photocopying, spread sheet entry, on the lot runs, script coverage, inventory of supplies and show ticket distribution. Also interns will assist in the daily maintenance of a database of videos and the physical shelving of videos in the Alternative Department's large video library. In the spring, our interns will primarily be working on American Idol in the some of the following capacities: talent relations, reviewing press releases and marketing materials, researching information on contestants and production needs. Interns will also work on the 2010 NAACP Image Awards, Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares and preparation for So You Think You Can Dance in the summer. Learning Objectives: Provide interns with challenging, real-world experience in their fields of study. Introduce interns to the field Alternative Programming. Interns will be assigned interesting and challenging projects that vary in scope, which could potentially lead to the development of future employees of and create a pool of qualified diverse applicants for potential job openings.

Requirements : Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with set deadlines. Handle a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Must be a self-starter and team player. Typing: of 30 wpm. Know MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
