Responsibilities : Under general supervision of the Director of Marina and Aquatic Services, the experienced-level Marina Maintenance Worker II performs a wide variety of work to ensure that the Marina facilities and associated grounds are maintained in a safe and effective working condition. for this position include a wide range of infrastructure maintenance and repair tasks (i.e. streets, sewer, parks, decks, etc.) and requires specialty knowledge related to such areas and facilities.SALARYANDHOURS:$25.63 - $31.17 per hour.Salary range is a five step scale, with most appointments made at the first step ($25.63). This is a part-time position up to 20 hours per week. No other benefits are offered. Hours will vary and working weekends and holidays will be required.Ideal Candidate.

Requirements ::Education Graduation from high school or D equivalent is required.Experience Two years of semi-skilled maintenance experience in a variety of marina or similar facilities maintenance. Some experience in the operation of water craft is desirable. Experience maintaining marina deck systems is a plus. Must possess a valid California class C driver license and have a satisfactory driving record.Physical Demands Must be available for regular standby assignments and work emergency overtime as required. Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions and with exposure to boating hazards. Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment, including a computer and to inspect Marina facilities and surroundings; strength and stamina to perform maintenance and repair to Marina facilities and equipment and to respond to emergency situations; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Must be able to operate a small powerboat and to swim 25 yards unassisted.
