Responsibilities and Requirements : We seek a Research Assistant to be a member of a research team to work on all current projects. Current work on the Rigor project examines data gathered from CPS students interviews and classroom observations conducted during the students junior and senior years, focusing specifically on general patterns of their experiences in the classroom. This project is in the writing stage and the team will need assistance with creating graphs, tables, figures, etc. from data. Also, the AVID project is focused on analyzing ninth-grade outcomes while the AP project is looking at the patterns and effects of AP course-taking among CPS students. Both of these projects will need assistance with data entry. The primary responsibilities for this position include creating tables, figures, and other graphical content in Excel Documents, Word Documents and in Microsoft PowerPoint; this person will be required to enter and organize large amounts of data into spreadsheets. This position will also be responsible for editing text and graphical content, conducting literature reviews, and other administrative duties as assigned.
