Responsibilities : Perform tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, repair, and assembly of clinical equipment involving basic knowledge and abilities associated with electronics, pneumatics, and mechanical processes.Familiar with the setup and application of basic test equipment (electrical safety analyzer, digital multi-meter, patient simulator etc.)Perform electrical safety testing and performance assurance inspections on a wide varity of medical devices utilizing appropriate test equipment and maintenance procedures.Evaluates equipment problems and implements appropriate repairs with minimum supervision, maintaining effective customer relations and customer protocol at all times.Participates in hazard identification and medical device reporting procedures to help ensure that the patient care environment is safe.Assist in the evaluation of new equipment as required and make recommendations pertaining to its electrical and functional conformance to Provena standards.Provide technical training to other Provena BMET's in areas such as: equipment operation and checkout, repairs, preventative maintenance, quality assurance practices, procedures, and documentation.

Requirements :High School Diploma or General Education Degreee (D) is required.Associates Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent technical training preferred.A minimum of five (5) year's experience in the Biomedical Equipment field.Must have a working knowledge of anatomy and physiology and how it relates to the diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring characteristics of clinical equipment. is committed to diversity.
