Responsibilities and Requirements : Bachelor degree in Information Sciences and relevant full-time employment as a DBA or database designer for three (3) years or more. Experience in medical or biological computing environment Thorough knowledge of database software applications, preferably Oracle, PostGreSQL, and/or MySQL. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other enterprise backend. Thorough working knowledge of SQL Experience and familiarity of the following languages: PERL, T-SQL or other procedural language Ability to organize information in clear and concise formats. Ability to identify problems and find creative, effective solutions. Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Ability to interact with individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge.Job Description:Responsible for analysis, design, development, maintenance and integration of clinical and biomedical database applications in support of CHOP Clinical Genomics of Pediatric Cardiology initiative. Participate with project leadership in codification of existing databases for further evaluation and integration. Explore integration or interfacing of data from multiple sources to create composite, researchable and clinically relevant information related to the identification and management of pediatric cardiac disease.
