Responsibilities : Einstein researchers received more than $130 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health in 2008. Einstein is home to eight NIH-designated centers, including ones for Cancer, AIDS, Diabetes, Liver, and Clinical and Translational Research. With newly constructed and renovated laboratory space on campus including The Michael F. Price Center for Genetic and Translational Medicine/Harold and Muriel Block Research Pavilion with 212,000 square feet of new space Einstein research is characterized by true collaboration and synergy between basic and clinical investigators.The Albert Einstein College of Medicine has many exciting opportunities available for Research Technicians to join our laboratories. Depending on your level of experience, the Research Technicians will assist and perform scientific investigative procedures using cutting edge technology. The Research Technician will participate in preliminary interpretation of results, review literature, and organize data and assist in the interpretation of that data.In these vitals roles you will have the opportunity of working with a team of scientists and other technicians engaging in research that may be included in future papers and grants. include but are not limited to the following:Modifying and performing technical procedures, including but not limited to, PCR, Western Blot, extraction, tissue cultures, electrophoresis, and histology.May involve working with mice and performing dissections.Understanding scientific literature.Understanding of research goals and rationale.Training of other technicians, students, fellows, etc., on lab procedures.Analyzing and interpreting data.Ordering of supplies and equipment.

Requirements :Research Technician B:B.A. or B.S. in related science0-2 years experience or equivalent skills and experience are required.Previous lab experience (at the undergraduate level or beyond) is strongly preferred.The ideal candidate will have superior written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Research Technician C:All of the above plus 2-4.5 years experience.Additional Information:With your online resume submission, please include the following: --1 - 2 letters of recommendation --Unofficial copy of transcript (if available) --Salary requirements .Frequently Asked Questions.
