Washington, Clinton, Temple Hills, Upper Marlboro, and Morningside.Examples of Important Duties:The Facility Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of a multi-use facility, which involves supervising a team of career and seasonal staff to plan and develop comprehensive recreation, sports and skill development classes and programs. Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates part-time staff. Coordinates maintenance and repair of the facility. Serves on committees and works with community groups to plan activities and events.The Facility Manager also manages and coordinates operating budget for the center. Supervises the processing and maintenance of administrative records and reports. Prepares technical reports and financial reports. Controls expenditures in accordance with approved budget. Monitors significant and complex revenue producing programs and activities. Develops marketing strategies for the programs and facility.

Requirements : Bachelor degree or four years experience in one of the following fields: parks, recreation, education, business administration, physical education, communication, leisure services, or in area of required specialty; and2. Three years of progressive professional experience working in a facility related to parks, recreation, education, business administration, physical education, communication, leisure services, or area of required specialty, including one year as a facility manager, program coordinator or supervisor; or3. An equivalent combination of education and experience; and, 4. A valid operating license (i.e. county pool operator license, child care license, etc.) where appropriate.5.
