Responsibilities : The Product Manager establishes the marketing strategy for the specific product business including the product strategy, pricing strategy, channel strategy, and communications strategy that will most effectively allow Simonton to achieve its potential profitable growth.The Product Manager will lead functional areas affecting the design, manufacturing, sale, distribution, promotion, communications, and marketing success of an assigned product line.The Product Manager will also work with outside vendors or the Simonton Product Development Center to develop product line extensions and enhancements.Specific :The Product Manager has specific responsibility to:Perform detaild competitive analysisPredictthe demand for products and services offered by the company and its competitorsIdentify potential marketsΓÇöfor example, channels, market segments, product segments, etc.Lead the strategic planning and tactical execution of programs to support the building product linesincluding the preparation of annual business plans for each respective product line and business segmentMaintain the product matrices for the assigned product lines and those of competitorsWork with the communications team to develop marketing communications plans to support assigned product lines including collateral, merchandising, promotions, advertising, public relations, etc.Work closely with the New Product Development teams and regulatory affairs to stay abreast of changing codes

Requirements :The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:Project Management skills with demonstrated experienceAbility to motivate cross-functional teams to execute programs within approved timetablesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directorsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsExperience/Education:Bachelor degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Engineering or Business; MBA is preferredA of five years of progressively responsible experience in product marketing is required.
