Supports business development strategies/goals with Director, Licensing & New Business Development and key commercial clients to achieve AI objectives. Strategic execution: With Director, Business Development & Strategy and key therapeutic area clients, supports the achievement of overall licensing objectives, strategies and tactics for growth of Abbott pharmaceutical businesses. Identifies new business opportunities that will expand Abbott's pipeline and product portfolio via acquisition and in-licensing. Responsible for coordinating timely review, including commercial and scientific assessment, of all assigned licensing leads, and coordinates with respective peers in other therapeutic areas and businesses at Abbott, as appropriate. P&L Performance: Supports the identification of opportunities to expand pharmaceutical sales and increase profitability of existing products. Supports the analysis of Abbott's competitive position in domestic and foreign markets, identifies potential problems/issues, and makes recommendations. D. Assumes leadership role in coordinating the assessment of assigned Business Development projects with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams within a matrix organization structure. Keeps management informed of Business Development activities on a timely basis.
