Responsibilities : The Training Manager has responsibility to identify, develop, manage and facilitate training activities. Champion change management and assist teams in delivering strategic initiatives that will aid the implementation of new systems, services or cost-effective solutions. Technical Skills Identify/assess training needs; and design and implement robust training programs, incorporating Continuous Improvement tools. Measure/analyze/evaluate program effectiveness making modifications as necessary. Understands and can conduct needs analysis, and Job Task Analysis activities. Manage Training Coordinators, and other training personnel to include external consultants. Participates as a teacher, trainer, coach & mentor to those who also partner with training. Possesses a complete understanding of the manufacturing processes & principles, including the key variables and inter-relationships. Utilize adult learning principles to recognize different learning styles, and effectively match curriculum using various learning techniques. Design curriculum and coach/assist others who design curriculum. Establish class schedules and oversee course logistics.

Requirements : 3-5 year plan to address the work system requirements in the plant & develop road maps to accomplish those goals. Assist HR in facilitating any restructuring activities. Train leadership team members in and how they apply to the specific facility. Develop a training core team for each department at the plant. Technical Training/Operations Develop and implement operational and technical skills training for all operators to meet the requirements and need; and conduct Job Tasks Analysis, and skill assessment & certification. Continually reassess the process. Provide units of operation or equipment specific operational training for start-ups and new projects. Develop, maintain and communicate a library of training and education material to meet training needs. BA/BS and 5 years or MA/MS and 3 years Candidate must have: Strong facilitation and communication skills Ability to use statistical tools and software Understanding of either Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, TPM or Six Sigma Experience working with world class training programs Ability to effectively work with vendors/technical training consultants on implementation Technical Skills Identify/assess training needs; and design and implement robust training programs, incorporating Continuous Improvement tools.
