Responsibilities : This individual will use knowledge of best manufacturing practices to concurrently support design engineers during the development of C4ISR equipment. The individual will develop manufacturing processes to support program requirements, and develop a balanced flow that will support labor and program requirements.:Design balanced manufacturing process for low volume DoD electromechanical equipment.Write the manufacturing plan based upon the master program plan and schedule and other source inputs.Develop metrics to measure progress and identify root causes of defectsMaintain cost and schedule using MS project and EVM techniquesLoad program requirements into an MRP system and maintain executable schedule.Implement Lean Manufacturing techniquesWork closely with Mechanical/Electrical engineers to concurrently develop cost effective designs and accurate drawings prior to production.Participate in design and peer reviews to critique producability and ease fo manufacture characteristics of product designsDevelop manufacturing travelers and assembly instruction documentationWork with the MRB to aid in resolving nonconformance dispositions.

Requirements :5-10 years experience in Operations Management in an electronics-manufacturing environment with strong technical experience in manufacturing engineeringExperience with electromechanical assemblies, sheet metal fabrication, welding, brazing and plastics processing.Bachelors degree in engineering preferably: Manufacturing, Mechanical, ElectricalCAD proficient, SolidWorks preferredHands on knowledge of MRP systemsMS office and MS projectExperience with applying Lean Six Sigma techniques to manufacturing.Experience implementing DFMA principles.
