What you will be doing:
The successful Software Engineering Manager will be able and capable to oversee research and development projects at a growing company in Ithaca, NY. The successful candidate will be working with an unbelievable client who recognizes achievement and the importance of education. The perfect fit candidate will be working with some of the best and brightest within the area.

As the Software Engineering Manager you will:
• Provide software engineer team management including hiring, coaching and retaining a strong team
• Complete department budgetary planning
• Interface with stakeholders to develop requirements, prioritize projects, assess risk
• Lead team through code reviews.

What you need to qualify:
• BS or more advanced degree in Computer Science or similar – Graduate, Masters, PhD Degrees Preferred
• 5+ years experience in software engineering using C/C++
• 2 years managing software engineers and the SDLC process
• Candidates must be US Citizens and be able to obtain Security Clearance for this opportunity.
