NYC and Northern NJ, Tax Senior/Manager (5+ openings)Top 25 CPA firm, up to $110K (102)Our Client is a top 25 CPA firm with offices in the Northeast. Candidates can be based out of offices in Manhattan, Westchester, several offices in Northern NJ, or Princeton. No relocation provided, only consider local candidates. Client prefers candidates out of mid-size public accounting firms.$70-$90K--Tax Senior , $90-$110K for Tax Managers, 3-6 years for seniors and 6-10 years for managersDescription: Responsible for reviewing completed individual, partnership, corporate, S-corp and trust tax returns; assigning work to tax accountants, monitoring their progress and workload; preparing complex returns. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: -Reviewing all tax returns for accuracy, working with tax accountant to correct errors. -Meeting with or call clients with questions concerning their information. -Possessing knowledge of tax regulations in order to answer clients questions. -Preparing complex tax returns. -Preparing amended returns of any variety and complexity. -Preparing personal tax projections through utilization of computer software. -Performing tax research projections requiring expertise. -Preparing annual tax accruals as may be required in preparing corporate tax returns. -Working with confidential client matters.Requirements: -The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years for seniors and 6-10 years for managers of experience in tax, preferably in public accounting. -A Bachelors degree in accounting or related field is required. A CPA designation is preferred, but not required. -Candidates should be prepared to meet challenging client requirements, provide value added services and should posses strong communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and analytical skills.-CPA preferred for senior role and required for manager role-Current Public Accounting experience
