Responsibilities : Studies, designs, engineers, constructs, installs, and coordinates telecommunications equipment, systems, and facilities; performs engineering studies involving equipment, applications, or theoretical analyses; may travel statewide and work irregular hours when required.: Applicants invited in for an interview will be required to bring a current copy of their three year driving record.View Class Specifications for this job:

Requirements :Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in electrical/electronic engineering, computer science, physics, or engineering technology with course work equivalent to a BSEE program. Nine (9) years of communications or electronics engineering experience is required. Five years of experience as a Telecommunications Engineer may substitute for the required degree. Must have technical certification (e.g., FCC General Class License, PCIA or APCO Technical Certificate, CET Journeyman Certificate with a Communications endorsement, or equivalent). Must have a valid driver's license.Job Specific Information:The following is a list of job specific questions for this position.1.Do you have experience planning, designing, engineering, and constructing telecommunications systems, designing radio communications sites to establish building and tower placement, power requirements, antenna placement, and communications equipment?2.Do you have experience analyzing telecommunications problems and needs?3.Do you have previous experience completing and submiting frequency coordination forms, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) radio license applications.
