Responsibilities : Job Description Work closely with architects in designing enterprise class solutions based on the principles of redundancy, data integrity, security and recoverability. Engineer solutions to meet customer requirements based on current and future server platforms. Draft, update and follow best practices and standards documentation. Coordinate and perform maintenance activities in a large environment composed of a mix of different UNIX and Linux platforms and configurations. Trouble-shooting hardware, software and network related problems. Perform performance analysis and tuning for servers hosting large databases and other OLTP systems. Engineer server virtualization solutions to reduce cost and increase efficiencies.

Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. of 8 years of progressive AIX administration experience. Experience with administration of Linux (SLES, RHEL) and Solaris a plus. Excellent UNIX performance tuning and analysis skills. Strong skills administering UNIX server systems utilizing SAN technologies. Experience with virtualization technologies (PowerVM VIO, ESX) a plus. Six years experience in designing, implementing and supporting highly secure architectures. Strong network skills with TCP/IP, RCP, routing, proxy servers, IP load balancing required. Extensive knowledge of web technologies, operating systems, computer architectures and proven experience as a system administrator. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Capable of producing quality documentation. Good customer relationship skills. Innate understanding of the value of establishing and living efficient processes. Ability to adapt and learn new concepts and new software products. Able to work under stress and handle multiple critical priorities. An attitude of Yes, we can. Commitment to Own it.
