Responsibilities : A tailors coverage for the management liability exposures of organizations of all types and sizes, including publicly-held corporations; privately-held, middle market companies; non-profit enterprises; and diversified financial institutions.If you are looking for a solid company who strives to be the very best and you want to join a winning team, consider Zurich North America!Due to growth, we have an outstanding career opportunity for an Underwriter located in our Dallas, Texas office (no relocation offered at this time). will underwrite and analyze new and renewal D&O, EPL, Crime & Fiduciary insurance business. Territory will include; TX, OK, AR & LA.Administers and monitors underwriting rules and guideline, insurance laws and regulations, and rating annual rules.Works writing significant limits and authority on assignments of higher technical complexity and coordination.May provide guidance to lower level associates.Markets companies' products and services through wholesale and retail brokers.Develops/maintains agency and /or broker relationships.

Requirements :Bachelors Degree preferred.3 years commercial underwriting and marketing experience.Underwriting experience is a must!Excellent communication and presentation skills.Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of progression of positions of increasing responsibility.Solid knowledge of processing methods and workflow procedures, and basic knowledge of insurance underwriting and regulations for assigned territories.Strong negotiation skills.Ability to effectively assess risk.Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing, regulations and guidelines.Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.Ability to multi-task.Must be able to function effectively in team environment.
