Responsibilities : The employee will receive draft web content from marketing and optimize it to achieve the best possible online experience for our life scientist customers. This optimization may include editing the text for clarity and conciseness, requesting/writing additional text, adjusting the layout of the text on the page, ensuring adherance to web content guidelines, as well as assessing the appropriateness/value of the content from the perspective of our customers. The employee will enter optimized content into a web content management system and at times will work closely with web designers to achieve an even more enhanced customer experience through optimization of both content and page design. In addition, the employee will offer content-related guidance/advice at all stages of web projects, as well as directly impact the success of the site by identifying web content-related gaps/needs and then working with the business to implement high quality solutions.

Requirements :Extensive experience with copyediting/writingExtensive experience applying web usability concepts to web contentExperience using a web content management systemWorking knowledge of HTMLExperience working as a life science researcher, purchasing life science productsFamiliarity with traditional and online marketing conceptsDemonstrated skills in problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritizationProven history of self-direction, creativity, and ability to meet deadlineseducational requirement: Bachelors degree in one of the life sciences.
