We are an internally funded research Institute, and are committed to a high quality of scientific work, and disseminating all of our findings in peer-reviewed scientific publications. This researcher will develop, direct, and implement studies within core areas such as manual material handling, slips, trips and falls and repetitive motion injuries. The successful candidate is expected to have experimental research experience with an in-depth knowledge of surface EMG, motor control and biomechanical modeling. A special interest in shoulder disorders and shoulder loading in the workplace would be an advantage. This is an exciting opportunity to join an internationally recognized, multidisciplinary team with a commitment to teamwork, creativity, collaboration and dialogue. The Institute staff represents the fields of biomechanics, experimental and cognitive psychology, epidemiology, tribology, physiology, engineering, sociology, biostatistics and the clinical sciences. We have excellent laboratory, computer, statistical, research and technical support available on-site, and research activities are internally funded.
