Responsibilities : Maintains continuous surveillance over mechanical condition status for the aircraft fleet operated by World Airways. Communicates to the field, (Line and Heavy Maintenance) requesting updates and maintenance status of the aircraft. Communicates thoroughly and timely to Operations Control on all maintenance activities with each aircraft. Provides technical assistance to Line Stations and Heavy Maintenance facilities for corrective and preventive maintenance requirements. Identifies technical problems that may limit the operations and takes corrective action. Maintains continuous liaison with Operations Control for planning and routing for significant maintenance to stations where repairs can be accomplished. Analyzes maintenance troubleshooting information received and initiates the appropriate action. Responsible to ensure essential data is communicated and documented for all maintenance activities per Worlds Maintenance Program. Responsible for screening Flight Log Pages and to ensure proper routing to Headquarters. Ensures and follows up on information related to Deferred Maintenance Items (DMI) and Carry Over items, troubleshooting steps, parts required and communication to other affected departments. Accepts responsibilities for any special assignment assigned by the Senior Director of Technical Services.

Requirements : Associates degree or technical training and 6 years experience in Heavy and Line Maintenance on large type equipment and 2 years degree in related field or hands-on type experience in a position of authority related to aircraft servicing experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience). Experience on large transport category aircraft (MD-11, DC-10, 747-400, PW4000 and 6 engines preferred) Knowledge/Abilities Must have a complete understanding of computer usage, ATA chapters, aircraft technical documents and related publications. Must have a complete technical understanding of aircraft systems/trouble shooting procedures with the ability to convey the information verbally and in written form.
