Responsibilities and Requirements : Sort laboratory reports and mail for delivery.2)Stock supplies, fill customer orders, and deliver in a timely manner.3)Transports specimens, reports, and material between the laboratory and its customers in accordance with all policies and procedures.4)Complete route sheets as required to indicate completion of route, documentation of pick-ups and deliveries, and to indicate customer specific requirements.5)Comply with requirements for maintenance and safety of vehicles as defined in Department (Engineering and Outreach Laboratory) policies6)Comply with policy and procedures for cell phone utilization7)Other duties as required to meet the needs of the DepartmentK.Working Conditions:1)Ability to drive a car for extended periods of time2)Ability to get in and out of car multiple times a day3)Ability to pick up and transport containers, supplies, etc., etc., up to 40 lbs required4)May be asked to deliver supplies/equipment over 40 lbs on an occasional basis.5)Must work weekend and holidays as assigned6)Must be available for “on-call” assignment as scheduled7)Exposure to blood, body fluids, and chemicals possible8)Must be able to communicate verbally with clients, and fellow Associates to complete job assignments9)Must be able to use phone, pager, and radio for communication.L. s That Report Directly To This , if any:None.M. Knowledge, Skills, Experience :1)High School Diploma, or equivalent2)Current Michigan driver license with driving record containing 2 pts or less.3)Able to be insured for operation of motor vehicles, ie, car.4)Good communication skills5)Proven ability to accurately follow step-wise directions.6)Shows ability to read and follow a map.7)Demonstrates strong customer service skills.
