Will be responsible for the direct oversight of the Compliance and Ethics function. Will oversee compliance and ethics matters for company Corporation and company, and provide the strategic pro-active leadership necessary to foresee and execute on changes and trends in the compliance and ethics areas consistent with professional standards and business needs. In collaboration with senior team, develop and execute the compliance and ethics program. Ensure the company's program meets the Federal Sentencing Guidelines for an effective program. This includes reporting on the program to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Promote strong compliance and ethics awareness throughout company. Provide infrastructure and facilitate best compliance practices and business ownership of compliance, using the compliance risk management model. Drive and direct risk assessment for compliance, focusing on key risks with relevance and impact to each line of business. Promote business understanding and ownership of internal controls to ensure compliance. Monitor company-wide compliance and guide business partners to effective and efficient compliance practices. Facilitate FERC compliance, including supporting the Chief FERC Compliance Officer to ensure the establishment of systems and protocols for monitoring, identifying and correcting possible FERC compliance violations, foster a management culture that encourages compliance among company personnel, and ensure that employees have the tools and training sufficient to enable them to comply with FERC requirements. Administer Compliance and Ethics helpline. Administer various regulatory and other compliance requirements, including CPUC affiliate rules. Manage and develop a team. Lead and manage change initiatives that have a positive impact on the organization.The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of business experience, preferably a combination of compliance or legal experience and/or utility industry experience. Attorney or Master's degree in Business Administration desired.
