Corporate CAD Administrator - (US-MA-Wilmington - 01887) Minimum Education: None Job Type: Full Time Email this job to yourself or to a friend | Job Match Test | Resume Guide Click Here to Apply Online Responsibilities : The Corporate CAD Administrator is responsible for managing all CAD and related licensing and maintenance and documenting internal practices relating to CAD and related software. This person interfaces with all divisions regarding CAD and related software requirements. This position reports directly to the Manager of Engineering Systems.Details:Seamlessly integrate CAD tools and processes by leveraging open database architectures.Work with the various IT groups to develop the hardware requirements for centralized licensing, library sharing etc.Assist with developing short-term and long-term strategies, based on eventual corporate-wide migration to Oracle and common CAD applications.Install CAD software; server and clients, with assistance from site IT groups.Generate procedures for various aspects including vaulting strategy, file naming conventions, best practices library part creations, controls etc.Set up and manage corporate-wide libraries to enable sharing of CAD data.Manage all licensing for CAD and relative applications including new purchases and maintenance.Maintain the protection and integrity of engineering data; file permissions, accessibility, back-ups etc.Ensure all new employees who will be using CAD applications are properly trained.Develop and monitor metrics to ensure that the processes are effective and running smoothly.Validate new CAD and relative application releases and patches prior to roll out.Roll out new application releases and patches.
