Responsibilities : Ipreo is a fast-paced finanacial services software vendor looking for new talent to perform Level 1 Systems and Networking monitoring and troubleshoot. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate to learn. Key functions: Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve LAN, WAN, telecommunications and various related system/network problems in a fast paced, 24/7, multitasking Network Operations Center (NOC)environment. Provide support for all Ipreo applications and have a good understanding of windows server 2000, windows server 2003 and active directory. Provide level 1 support to server engineering and provide Level 2 support to Netops, corporate users, customers and clients for existing internal corporate and external production infrastructures. Open & track telecom service provider trouble tickets, as well as implementation for new network operations projects.

Requirements : Some experience with networking or server troublshooting, including internships or on campus positions. Experience with Cisco Layer 2 & 3 devices and familiarity the Cisco IOS. understanding of Lan/Wan Technologies in a corporate environment. understanding of Point to Point circuits including ISDN. Interface with the customers and vendors using good people skills. Working knowledge of TCP/IP and IP routing protocols, particularly EIGRP.Prior experience working in mission-critical financial environment is a plus.Good understanding of Windows 2000/2003.Good understanding of Active directory. Working knowledge of backups.
