Responsibilities : Provide leadership for developing, marketing and delivering various academic training and curriculum utilizing existing and emerging technologies.2. Complete understanding of these technologies to include asynchronous web-based course room instruction, asynchronous independent self-guided study, synchronous multiple site video-conferencing delivery and hybrid classroom instruction utilizing web accessed course management systems.3. Provide leadership to ensure the academic integrity of all distance education by collaborating with regional directors, deans, program coordinators, faculty and other District senior staff.4. Plan, implement and evaluate marketing to grow the District’s distance education programs; and promote each campus’ brand.5. Plan and develop instructional media and delivery methods for use in distance learning.6. Closely collaborate with academic divisions to design and implement courses in various technology enhanced formats, and be responsible for faculty training and development in regards to distance education technologies and pedagogies.7. A strong background in administrating online and independent study academic outreach programs.8. Demonstrated record of integrating new distance education technologies in support of institutional goals, and understanding of emerging teaching technologies and web 2.0 applications such as wikis, blogs, and social bookmarking as potential delivery opportunities.9. Previous experience delivering academic courses utilizing a course management system, i.e. WebCT, Blackboard, etc.10. Previous collegiate level teaching experience preferred, preferably utilizing distance education web-based platforms.

Requirements :Must have great communications and written skills.§ Demonstrate skills in designing, developing, and delivering online courses.§ Ability to convey the benefits of technology in education.§ Strong experience with collaborative learning technologies.§ Synchronous and Asynchronous teaching methods.§ Excellent knowledge of HTML, Adobe PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Professional, course management systems such as BlackBoard, Sakai, Moodle, and Angel.
