LOCATION: Round Rock, TX

DURATION: 4 to 6 months, extendable

JOB DESCRIPTION:
For this requirement, we are seeking an hardware board-level designer who will be working on Enterprise Storage or Server products. He/she will be developing and qualifying electronic designs (motherboard, peripherals, and component) for desktop, portable and server computer systems.
Incumbent will take a design from concept to production including: architecture definition, schematic design, simulation
He/she will be responsible for working with the design team, cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure his or her design meets the requirements for: feature set, functionality, cost, reliability, regulatory compliance, and industry standards compliance
Other duties
- Will be responsible for electrical design of assigned system/subsystem (PRP)
- Shall ensure the manufacturability, reliability and serviceability of designs (PRP)
- Will support the prototype PWA builds of assigned design (PRP)
- Will validate and characterize assigned design (PRP).

KEY QUALIFYING SKILLS:
At least 3 to 6 years in relevant area of work, including failure analysis
At least 5 years as an electrical design engineer
We need someone who has prior demonstrable experience of having worked on containing high speed serial busses, such as PCIe, SAS and SATA.
Must have experience in Signal Integrity design and measurements is also a must.
Must have Cadence electrical CAD tools experience (preferably 5 or more years)

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
Prior experience of having worked on Enterprise Server or Storage products.

EDUCATION:
AA / Undergraduate or graduate degree in Comp Sc /Engg, EE/Electronics, Analog Design, or similar area or equivalent combination of relevant job experience and certifications
