Responsibilities: Responsible for providing information and analysis on institutional effectiveness, community demographics and needs, strategic planning, benchmarking, budgeting, program evaluation, student recruitment/retention, enrollment data etc. Identify trends and describe the current state. 1. Prepares and analyzes studies of college and community demographics, population projections, institutional needs, and other topics as requested or determined through the planning process. 2. Makes annual projections and updates for college-wide budget preparation. 3. Formulates and executes specialized research studies to assess the overall effectiveness of the college's programs. 4. Processes and interprets data from a variety of sources, including the district-wide data systems and communicate the results. 5. Develops the institutional effectiveness documentation as needed by the system and college. 6. Documents the college's intended outcomes and their relation to the college's goals and mission. 7. In coordination with the system, develops and publishes the annual report/fact book. 8. Participates actively on college committees and represent the college on district committees relating to institutional effectiveness or research/planning. 9. Maintains archival institutional research information that is easily accessed. 10. Develops and provides training programs for administrators, faculty, and staff associated with data collection and analysis. 11. Performs trend analysis to predict future needs. 12. Communicates clearly and effectively with all parts of the college. 13. Works collaboratively with peers across the district, college, and community. 14. Performs special projects for senior administrators as requested. 15. Uses statistical software to analyze data from a variety of sources. 16. Provides information, technical assistance and analysis to support decision making for all areas of the college. 17. Coordinates data requests and projects requiring assistance from the district research or information technology offices. 18. Develops and analyzes surveys to support college needs. 19. Develops, maintains, and disseminates information for college grant applications and activities. 20. Assures that the college institutional research web site is current and that there is web access to institutional publications, reports and resources. 21. Works collaboratively with department/division heads to recommend and implement evaluation criteria for their units. 22. Prepares the annual college Institutional Effectiveness Update in collaboration with administration and staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. At least 3 to 5 years experience in analysis position or related field. .
