Responsibilities: The individual also will provide data and information about the university as required for government agencies, accrediting agencies and other external constituencies. Additional emphases for the position include serving as a liaison representing institutional research best practices to constituents and committees throughout the RIT community. Major Responsibilities: Plan, design, implement, and analyze research projects in collaboration with others across the university Perform complex research and analytical tasks using SAS to support the operational, planning, and management decisions of the university. Summarize and communicate information using a variety of graphical and tabular formats and media to facilitate understanding and use. Complete external reports, including federal and state submissions, and provide data to assist others in fulfilling external reporting requirements. Produce enrollment projections in support of the university's annual enrollment planning processes Fulfill ad-hoc information requests from members of the RIT community Serve as an institutional research liaison to various cross functional projects; assist or lead university committees Maintain knowledge of best practices in institutional research and apply knowledge to daily operations Other appropriate duties as assigned Qualifications: Education: Masters degree in education, social sciences, statistics, business, or comparable field. Experience: Assistant Director: 6-9 years of progressive experience in education, institutional research, data management, analysis, research design, survey design, and reporting Senior Research Associate: 2-5 years of experiences in education, institutional research, data management, analysis, research design, survey design, and reporting. Competencies/Skills: Proven experience in data management and analysis, particularly in the field of higher education Demonstrated knowledge of institutional research, institutional effectiveness, and program evaluation Proficiency in SAS or SPSS and Microsoft Office Familiarity with data warehousing and relational databases Demonstrated knowledge of survey design, analysis, and measurement ..
