Responsibilities : The primary duties of the Engineer/Inspector-Mechanical will be the oversight of the construction projects which are primarily transportation related projects. This position will require familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes. Receives supervision and support from more senior field representatives or Project Managers. Typically requires three years of progressive experience as a Construction Inspector on a multidisciplinary project. Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents. Experience with mechanical projects such moveable bridges is needed. Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses. Other duties in the future may involve more work in mechanical project design.

Requirements :BS in Mechanical Engineering would be preferred. Must have 3 years experience as Engineer/Inspector-Mechanical, Owners Rep or similar on multidisciplinary, large scale projects. Experience on moveable bridge projects would be a big plus. Must have the ability to work well with others in order to achieve desired result. Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook). Proven problem solving and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing. HDR is a drug and alcohol free environment.
