Responsibilities : Develop, coordinate, edit, and maintain assigned content on the AMA corporate Web site. Communicate the Web Standards and Guidelines, content processes, and strategic direction of the AMA Web site to assigned areas of the and ensure that content meets AMA member needs and effectively communicates the health care advocacy agenda. Serve backup for other Web editors.

Requirements :Specialized editorial training and Web publishing experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field preferredof two years Web editing and design experience required; experience with medical or professional organization preferredof five years experience with Internet site content development and editorial work, journalism, communications or related field required. Extensive working knowledge of print, broadcast, and electronic mediaAdvanced in HTML authoring software such as Dreamweaver and/or Microsoft Frontpage; Adobe software including Acrobat & Photoshop; Microsoft Office; & Web browser softwareFamiliarity with other Web applications & new online technologies preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication Demonstrated interpersonal , including demonstrated expertise at providing advice and counsel on communications, Web writing, copy editing, and technical mattersDemonstrated ability to work effectively under deadline pressure while managing multiple responsibilitiesDemonstrated ability to work effectively as a strong individual contributor in a high visibility team environment.
