Responsibilities and Requirements : In-house Corporate Legal AttorneyThe candidate will advise the company concerning legal rights, obligations, and privileges. Study statutes, decisions, and ordinances of administrative agencies. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for the company. Provide training to Managers regarding legal issues. Advise the company concerning transactions of business. Write reports on retail store visits to provide the General Office with the necessary feedback to make improvements at the store level. Defend legal cases brought against company. Examine legal data to determine the merits of defending or prosecuting lawsuits. Conduct research, interview witnesses and handle other details in preparation for trial. Prepare legal briefs, develop strategies, arguments and testimony in preparation for presentation of case. Represent the company in legal proceedings. Review business contracts and administer appropriate legal collection actions.
