Responsibilities: This position is responsible for providing Systems and Hardware Quality Assurance activities at the technical and project level for products in development. Principle Accountabilities: Assure new products in development meet customer and company requirements and objectives as stated in the project's planning documentation. Must be able to read and understand Engineering Systems documentation, Assembly drawings, schematics, etc. Provide ongoing quality process and product support for products designed by Engineering and sold in the Engineering labs. Candidate's understanding of electronics product build processes and workmanship standards desirable. Assess development activities on new projects on an ongoing basis via audits, peer reviews, and other direct and indirect measures.Collect and assess applicable metrics for systemic issues. Perform Root Cause analysis when appropriate on process and project activities that impede performance and quality of the product in design. Provide process and requirements mentoring to the project throughout development, and provide support to operations during product transition. Additionally, a working knowledge of Design for Six Sigma tools a strong plus.
