Director Of Development - (US-MA-Boston - 02298) Minimum Education: None Job Type: Full Time Email this job to yourself or to a friend | Job Match Test | Resume Guide Click Here to Apply Online Responsibilities : Develop and manage a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan including major gifts, planned giving, grants, annual giving, special events, donor stewardship/recognition and special campaign initiatives in accordance with CGSMC strategic planning priorities • Develop and implement detailed annual work plans and prepare and manage development revenue and expense budgets, establish fundraising goals, strategies and measurement tools. Report progress against goals on a monthly basis. • Oversee daily operations of the Development Office including management of staff, capital, program, endowment, annual giving campaigns and special events • Serve as the major gift officer for CGSMC, managing a portfolio of major gift prospects with potential ranging from $1,000+. Direct planning, solicitation and follow-up for various capital, annual and special fundraising initiatives involving these prospects. • Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward gifts from individuals, corporations and organizations. • Create and implement strategies to engage trustees, staff and other key constituencies in the philanthropic activities of CGSMC. Work closely with the hospital CEO and VP of Development, Communications and Marketing to develop board roles and responsibilities and provide ongoing fundraising training and orientation.#Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible fundraising experience at a senior level. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, experienced entrepreneurial and results-oriented professional with a track record of success in building a comprehensive fundraising program that includes major gifts, planned giving, capital campaign, grants, annual fund/direct mail, and special events. He or she is a strategic thinker with proven experience as an excellent manager. She or he is out-going, flexible, passionate, and relationship oriented. • A minimum of five years of success; preferably in a healthcare setting, building strong community relations and closing major gifts from individuals and corporations • Experience developing, executing, and managing a comprehensive development plan with goals, strategies and measurements • Proven track record in effectively researching, identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual and corporate prospects and donors • Proven successful management and experience.
