Responsibilities and Requirements : Grade and announcement number may be different. Check with the facility when filling out an application. Basic qualifications to be considered for any of the medical health care positions with the Navajo Area are you must be a U.S. Citizen and have a non-restricted license. In addition, to qualify for Medical Technology positions you must have a Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology that included or was supplemented by at least 16 semester hours of biologic science of which 1 course was in microbiology and 1 course was in immunology; 16 semester hours of chemistry of which 1 course was in organic or biochemistry; and 3 semester hours of college mathematics OR a full 4-year course of study that included or was supplemented by at least 12 months in a college or hospital based medical technology program or medical technology school approved by a recognized accrediting organization.
