Responsibilities and Requirements : Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and explain them clearly •Ability to organize complex information •Ability to work independently and reliably meet production deadlines •Experience with layout, development, and production of technical documentation, such as user’s guides, interactive electronic technical manuals •Excellent writing , experience in writing physical and functional descriptions of electronic equipment and systems, operational and maintenance procedures, and system theory •Ability to write operations and employment training curriculum both formal and BCP. •Computer literate, proficient with MS Office products and experience with graphic presentation programs •Experience with AN/BQQ-10 (ARCI and Virginia Class) Submarine Sonar System •Experience conducting procedural verification testing •Must be a fast learner and able to perform independently in a dynamic environmentDesired Familiarity with S1000D documentation specification and tools General knowledge of networking system (Ethernet, GIGE, etc.), computer systems, information technologies, and complex software systemsSpecific Job DescriptionServe as a logistics professional in a cross-functional team setting. Perform maintenance planning, interactive electronic technical manual (IETM)development and documentation QA for sonar equipment/systems.Standard Job DescriptionWrites, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials.Security ClearanceSecretTypical MinimumsBachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
