Responsibilities and Requirements : Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, practices and methodologies, as well as those that apply specifically to the SCI program, to carry out complicated assignments and develop high-level by performing independent work. 2. Cognizance of the guidelines and standards for the physical protection of SCI as established by the DNI. 3. Ability to respond to problems and questions involving implementation of security guidelines and in inspecting SCI, SCIF, and SAP security programs for adequacy, efficiency, and need for improvement. 4. Knowledge of criteria that must be applied for release of classified information. 5. Familiarity with the organizations and capabilities of the Intelligence and Security communities, and of DOE, its intelligence requirements, capabilities and policies. 6. Basic briefing and familiarity with the operation of computer word processing systems. Applicants need not prepare written responses to these KSAs, unless asked in the online application. Eligible candidates for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance. The duties and responsibilities of this position require that the incumbent have access to documents and/or material containing Secret Restricted Data which are related to sensitive issues. Therefore, the position demands the highest degree of public trust and requires that the incumbent possess a DOE Q Clearance. This position has also been designated as a Testing Designated (TDP) subject to testing for illegal drug use.
