Responsibilities and Requirements : Must be at least 19 years of age. 2. Be a high school graduate or equivalent. 3. Applicant must possess a Bachelor's Degree at the time of submission of application. 4. Not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or false statement, nor have received dishonorable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of theUnited States. Any person, who after October 1, 1999, pleads guilty or nolo contendre to or is found guilty of a felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or false statement shall not be eligible for employment or appointment as a direct care employee, not withstanding suspension of a sentence or withholding of adjudication. 5. Abide by all provisions of s. 985.644(1),FloridaStatues regarding fingerprinting and background investigations and other screening requirements for personnel. 6. Must maintain a valid Drivers License. Salary for this position is $1,128.63Special Note:If the applicant is not currently certified in accordance with the Department of Juvenile Justice Direct care training policy, the applicant must obtain such certification within 180 days of employment.Selected candidate must attend and pass a 4 to 6 week Juvenile Probation Officer Training in Quincy, FL. Located at the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Training Center (PAT) and pass JPO written examination, as well as pass Protection Action (PAR) written and tactical examination.
