Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Logistics Account Executive. This position will be based in Lafayette, LA. This position will require 30% - 50% domestic travel. Position Details
This position will focus on consultative sales and account management for our prospective customers. This position will be responsible for maximizing sales within our Site Private Fleet by finding new customers and servicing existing customers; usually 70/30 ratio of new existing business. This position is responsible for selling and servicing sales to large, multi-site accounts.

The Logistics Account Manager needs to close the account at the corporate level and coordinate the execution of the sales agreement through internal operation representatives responsible for the various customer locations. This requires a combination of key sales skills to identify, work with complex customer contacts and fashion an offering to meet the client requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable calling on the executive suite/plant management/purchasing management and discussing the business case that represents their competitive edge.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree is required.
5 years of Transportation sales experience, specifically within Truckload, Dedicated Contract Carriage and/or Food and Beverage transportation experience is required. NO EXCEPTIONS!.
Ability to work within a team environment is essential in this role.
Chosen candidate must be proficient using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Data Analysis and customer lead generation research and resources.
CRM skills are required and essential in this role.
